Dimraeth entered Steam Early Access on September 15, 2026, and that is the game's current state: an in-development build you can buy and play today, expected to keep growing for roughly 18 to 24 months before the full 1.0 version. Early Access already contains a complete first act with 3 races, 3 classes and seamless co-op for 1 to 8 players, while the planned scope of 8 races, 6 classes and 48 archetypes is still ahead. Here is exactly what is in, what is not, and what that means for you as a buyer.

What Early Access means for Dimraeth
Steam's Early Access label means a game is developed in the open: you can buy and play now, and frequent updates keep changing it on the way to the full version. Dimraeth's store page carries the standard disclosure that Early Access games "are not complete and may or may not change further" — and Steam's own advice is to wait if the current state does not excite you. Mudtek treats the phase as a feedback loop: the team has said Steam reviews get high visibility when it prioritises work, and it also monitors the Steam discussion boards, the official Discord, Twitter/X and the game's subreddit. That openness is worth knowing upfront, because it means the game you buy in six months may play noticeably differently from today's.

What is in Early Access right now
The launch build includes 3 races (Elf, Minotaur, Human) and 3 classes (Shadow, Mage, Brawler). Every race-plus-class pairing forms a named archetype with its own passive and its own four-wing skill tree, so an Elf Shadow and a Minotaur Shadow play differently. Act 1 of the story is in, told across three chapters, alongside pets, elite enemies and major bosses, expanded base building, new equipment, and difficulty levels. The level cap is 25, and the current endgame is a repeatable deed system with progressive difficulties and bounties. Community reviewers estimate Act 1's story at roughly 12 to 15 hours before side content, farming and build experimentation.
What is NOT in yet — the planned scope
Keep plan and product separate. The store page advertises 8 races, 6 classes, 48 archetypes and more than 300 spells — that is the planned full scope, not today's content. As of the September 2026 launch, five races and three classes of that scope have not been added, later acts do not exist in the build, and none of it has a confirmed release date. Mudtek's own Early Access FAQ asks how the full version will differ, and the answer is precisely that scope: the missing roster, the missing acts and the full spell library are what separate Early Access from 1.0. Treat any video or article ranking "all 48 archetypes" as coverage of the future game, not the one on Steam right now — our official roadmap page lists what is confirmed as planned.
What "not complete" means day to day
Early Access games change under your feet, and Dimraeth is no exception. The launch build itself already arrived with a skill tree overhaul relative to the demo era, and Mudtek's launch post asked players for patience with the bumps it expects along the road. Practically, that means balance numbers, skills and systems can shift between updates, community guides can age quickly, and the smart habit is checking a guide's date before following it. Whether any update will ever touch existing saves is not something we could confirm either way, so treat save safety as an open question rather than a promise.
How long will Early Access last?
Mudtek's Early Access FAQ estimates roughly 18 to 24 months, counted from the September 15, 2026 launch. There is no fixed 1.0 date — the developer has deliberately not committed to one — and the official roadmap describes what will be added rather than when. Expect update-by-update news instead of a dated release plan, and be sceptical of anyone quoting a specific full-release day.
Co-op and progression in the Early Access build
Dimraeth supports seamless drop-in/drop-out online co-op for 1 to 8 players, and it is fully playable solo. Multiplayer runs peer-to-peer with no dedicated servers or private server options, so sessions are hosted by players — worth knowing if your group has strict NAT or connection situations, and if a host leaves, the session ends with them. Progression is split by design: your hero's level, equipment, inventory and spells travel between worlds, while story progress, recruited allies and buildings stay tied to each world. That split shapes how co-op groups plan their sessions, since joining a friend's world never contaminates your own save.
Price and discounts during Early Access
The game launched with a 10% introductory discount scheduled to end on September 22, 2026, and Mudtek plans to raise the price as content grows during Early Access. Buying earlier is therefore the cheapest scheduled way in, while waiting for 1.0 means paying more. We do not hardcode a number because pricing is regional — the Steam store page is the source of truth for your country.
How Early Access is going so far
Launch reception has been positive: about 85% of the 490+ Steam reviews posted as of September 16, 2026 were positive, and the game had neared 500,000 wishlists before release — an unusual figure for a small studio's first game. Community channels reported around 10,000 concurrent players in the launch window, though those figures are unofficial. The known rough edges flagged in early coverage include inventory management and some controller-menu friction — the kind of Early Access feedback the developers say they are reading across reviews, discussions and Discord. None of it obscured the overall verdict, which leaned clearly positive for a day-one build.
Should you buy Early Access now or wait?
Buy now if you want co-op today, are happy with a 3-race, 3-class build capped at level 25, and want the cheapest scheduled entry before the planned price rises. Wait if you want the full 8-race roster, the complete story, or a game that does not change under your feet between updates — just know the finished version is expected to cost more. Either way, the honest summary is on the store page itself: the game is not complete, and it is changing on purpose.
